Deportivo Chivas Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization for the purpose of developing talented young soccer players and providing them the opportunity to play at the highest levels of competitive youth soccer, including high divisions of the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL) league, top local and out of state tournaments, and state, regional and national competition.

Deportivo Chivas Soccer Club forms teams annually following Spring open tryouts. Team formation and player selection is determined by the Director of Soccer and the rest of the coaching staff. Players are placed on teams where they are competitively compatible.

Philosophy

Deportivo Chivas promotes a philosophy of individual excellence and competitive team play in its approach to training and coaching players.

Talented, dedicated youth players accelerate their development in training sessions devoted to teaching them the skills and tactics necessary to play at the highest levels of youth soccer.

Training sessions and game day coaching is conducted by dedicated and professionally trained and licensed staff.

Player positions and playing time will be determined by the coaching staff. Players are expected to have a high commitment level to the club and their team, including attending training sessions and games during both the outdoor and indoor seasons.

Within this highly competitive arena, Deportivo Chivas seeks to provide its players a positive experience, enhancing their passion for the game of soccer, and enhancing life skills through the experiences derived from playing competitive youth sports.

Parents are expected to reinforce their player’s positive soccer training and playing experience with active participation in their team and the Soccer Club, including meeting the club’s financial requirements, and assisting their player in attending training sessions and games.
